Leadership
Grandmaster Han Jungdoo (10th Dan)
Founder
Grandmaster Han is one of Korea’s most respected Hapkido masters, carrying forward decades of teaching experience and deep technical wisdom.
His guidance ensures that every movement taught under the GHF name reflects the true essence of Hapkido: control through compassion, power through harmony.
Grandmaster Ernst Jan Rolloos (8th Dan)
President
A lifelong martial artist and visionary leader, President Ernst Jan Rolloos represents the bridge between East and West.
He works closely with Grandmaster Han to bring the art to new audiences, build educational systems, and uphold the values of mutual respect, open exchange, and technical excellence.
“Our mission is to unite the world of Hapkido — not by style, but by spirit.”
— President Ernst Jan Rolloos
Master Council
A board of experienced instructors representing different regions — Korea, Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East — ensures that every branch of the Federation maintains both technical precision and cultural integrity.
To bring Hapkido back to its roots of discipline, respect, and unstoppable energy, Europe is now organized into four dynamic regions: North – South – East – West. Each territory is guided by a dedicated Regional Council President, responsible for supporting and connecting the individual countries in their area.
Together, these four leaders and their regional council form the backbone of a revitalized European Hapkido network — building bridges between dojangs, uniting instructors, supporting students, and strengthening our global community.
Grandmaster Hunstad
Voice of the Federation
“The Global Hapkido Federation stands for openness, cooperation, and shared growth. Our system welcomes all practitioners who value authenticity, respect, and continuous learning, regardless of lineage or style.
Through our collaboration with Global Hapkido, we embody the true Hapkido spirit: uniting tradition and innovation through friendship and exchange.
Together, we strengthen the bridge between masters, schools, and cultures — proving that Hapkido is not a closed system, but a living art.”
— Grandmaster Henrik Hunstad, President of the Northern Regional Council
The Path of Training
Structured levels that develop coordination, discipline, and self-defense ability. From rolling and falling to advanced locks, throws, and integrated ground defense — every stage emphasizes control, balance, and flow.
2. Instructor Development
Becoming an instructor is more than mastering techniques. It means learning how to teach safely, inspire confidence, and represent Hapkido’s spirit with integrity.
Certification includes modules on pedagogy, first aid, safeguarding, and school leadership.
3. Mastery & Beyond
At the Dan ranks, the journey turns inward — understanding energy, movement, and mind. The advanced program includes weapons principles, internal training, and teaching refinement.
